Available for Android since recently Wavesecure application from tenCube is a best solution for finding lost cell phones. While being very simple in use Wavesecure allows for remotely tracking, locking, backing up and wiping the lost cell phone.
Wavesecure is very easily and quickly set. When running the app for the first time after downloading it you’ll have to enter your phone’s number. After doing that the app will verify this number through a text message sent to it. After this a screen will open for entering up to 9 contacts to notify and a PIN code for locking/unlocking the phone.
The next step will bring you to the main screen with an access to Wavesecure’s features, such as: “Backup” and “Upload Media” features– duplicating all the contacts, call and SMS logs as well as files onto Wavesecure’s server; “Restore” allows for restoring on the phone all the information sent to the server; “Lock Down Phone” for locking the phone as it is at the moment; “Wipe Now” wipes out every kind of the information stored on the phone.
Another important screen for Wavesecure – the settings - is accessed via the menu button. From Settings you can change the previously set autolock features, add trusted SIMs to the list, or set an alarm to SIM change.
The app allows for three different ways of locking your phone: it can be locked directly by user through the app; it can be locked through the web interface of Websecure’s website remotely; it can be locked automatically upon the SIM card’s change.
Backing up of the information on the phone is very easy to implement and takes only selection of Backup feature on the phone or the web interface.
After accomplishing of this operation all the information will accessible to reviewing on the web interface. The Track feature identifies SIM card change and sends an alert to the preset contacts as well to the web interface. And the Location feature determines the location of the device from the web interface.
The Wipe feature is applied when the chances of getting back the phone are too slim. It allows to erase all your personal data from your device, sending a remote wipe command. With all your information properly backed-up you can send the Wipe command right away you realize the phone is stolen or lost.
In case you manage to get it back all the erased information may be easily restored by restore command.
