The Dropbox app is a great means for synchronizing files between the internet and the users’ devices. This application is equipped with 2GB storage capacity for a variety of file types: video, audio, photo, and many others. It features a public folder for sharing as well, providing access to the files without having to log in to an account.
The setup of Dropbox app is pretty simple, and sign up for an account is possible directly from the application or at Get Dropbox. Within the application users can browse through their files and folders, can search the files by Search option in the Menu or simply by pressing the Search button. To open a folder it needs to be tapped, while tapping on a file downloads it, as the Dropbox application has no preinstalled file viewer for the majority of file formats (Excel, html, PDF or photos), the only preinstalled function being that of editing text files. This means that the users will have to turn to other application in order to get access to viewing their files. non urna eros.

File uploading to Dropbox, though simple enough, is not integrated enough. Thus, to upload a file the user has to be in the application and choose the Upload option from its Menu. Then, each format to be uploaded brings up the relevant application from the device (provided there is one on the device). For instance, when importing video and photos the photo/gallery app will be activated. And when already in the photo gallery and taking a new picture from there, it will be complicated to upload it through “Share via” option. Instead the user will have to reopen Dropbox to upload the file from within the application (which may be pretty frustrating for the greater part of users).
Another frustrating feature with this app is that it wouldn’t allow for creating new folders within itself. Instead, in order to create a new folder the user has to log onto the web interface and create it there, and only after doing so the new folder will be seen on the app.
Overall, these are the major drawbacks that should be altered in order for the application to become really handy to use: creation of folders from the application itself; integration with “share via”; browsing and viewing of at least a few file formats right from the app without opening additional applications. m.
